On Saturday, August 20, the Fiscally Responsible Running Series will be hosting a Guemes Island Run in conjunction with Skagit Runners. After the run there will be a Skagit Runners picnic at Schoolhouse Park. Craig and Heather Romano will be leading this run and Delores is arranging the Skagit Runners social after the run.
The plan is to meet at the Guemes Island ferry terminal in Anacortes (free parking) and walk on the ferry for the 9:45 am crossing. Be there early - by 9:30 at the latest. Walk-on fares for adults are $4 in the summer, $5 if you bring a bike. This will also be the yearly social for Skagit Runners; Delores will be setting up in Schoolhouse Park where we'll be enjoying food and beverages after the run. The runs are stroller (except Guemes Mountain) and dog friendly (leash on Guemes Mountain) on very lightly traveled country roads (trail on Guemes Mountain). Expect some rolling hills.
Run Options include:

We hope to see everyone in Skagit Runners and others on Guemes Island in August!
Skagit Runners club meetings will be on the following dates in 2016 (all Tuesdays): August 23 and October 18. Meetings will held at Round Table Pizza in Mount Vernon on College Way and will start at 6 pm.
