Skagit Night HawksIntroductionSkagit Night Hawks are runners who like to run trails at night using headlamps to almost, but not quite, light the way. Petzl and Black Diamond are headlamps of choice for the Night Hawks, though other lights are available. Favorite trails include Lake Padden Mudfest trail; Squires Lake/Baldy trail; Blanchard trails, including Mad Max; South Baker Lake Trail; and Whistle Lake in Anacortes to name just a few. During November through March, the Night Hawks fly on a regular basis. If you wish to join us some time, email Dean for information on when the next run will be. Speed is not a requirement, though it could help if the right predator is about. Charged batteries are essential. Courage is a must. Slow runners with weak batteries and bountiful courage can help keep the cougars busy while the rest of us run away. There was an article in the Skagit Valley Herald about the Night Hawks run on Cultus Mountain. There was also an article about the Nighthawks in Runner's World. Scheduled EventsRace Name: Northern State Muckfest
Race Name: 3rd Annual Northern Lights 5 Miler - An Almost Winter Solstice Headlamp Run
